About Me

My name is Leigh-Anne and I am so excited you are here!

My love for photography started almost THIRTEEN years ago when I started second shooting with my Dad in his wedding photography business. I didn't know how to shoot a camera in manual mode but loved our time together and loved the brides and families. I was teaching Kindergarten and pursuing my Masters in School Counseling, thinking that is where I would always be but he slowly started teaching me how to really operate a camera and slowly my style developed and I was hooked.

EIGHT years ago, one of my dearest friends went into labor early and called me to come and capture her birth experience. I credit that night to when L. Millican Photography really began!

Almost SIX years ago, I made the decision to stay home with my children and God has continued to amaze me in how my photography business has organically grown. I still get to love on children and families and even dip into my counseling skills, while creating treasures and memories that last forever! I still get emotional when a client follows up with me to say how special their gallery is or that a picture captured makes them cry. And a side note...how fun that I now photograph some of our brides as they are beginning families of their own!
